Pronto Pizza is a Neapolitan style pizza truck hailing from Edinburgh, Scotland. We offer hand stretched, sourdough pizzas cooked fresh in our Ooni Pizza Ovens. Coming from an Italian background, it was only natural for founder, Michael Notarangelo, to launch a pizza concept alongside his other successful street food ventures. Taking inspiration from his Grandparents home town in Italy (only 1 hour from Naples), it was evident that the key to a great pizza is simply using great produce. Using only the finest Caputo 00 flour and a long slow 48 hour proof, gives a truly authentic pizza base that is light and airy but robust enough to hold whatever topping it needs. Our tomato sauce is as simple as can be, using only 2 ingredients; high quality Italian tomatoes and a pinch of salt and all of our toppings are locally sourced using only approved suppliers. This combination and cooking the pizzas next to an open flame in our Ooni Koda 16 pizza ovens, provides that authentic Neapolitan crust which is puffy and full of flavour. 

We offer a bespoke pizza service that can be fully customisable by you. We have a fully fitted food truck that can hold up to 3 Ooni pizza ovens, meaning on average we can cook approx 80 - 100 pizzas an hour. We also have gazebo set ups we can use if the food truck is not suitable in the venue. We have 5 years of experience in street food catering, successfully running 3 other food concepts (hot dogs, ice cream, waffles) all with their own units which have proven a great hit across public and private events. On booking, you can decide if you want us to serve full pizzas, half pizzas or pizzas by the slice. We have a tried and tasted menu of delicious pizzas that you can choose from, although don't be shy to ask for your favourite if its not on our menu, we strive to accommodate all requirements.

Our wood fire mobile pizzeria rolls in with not one, not two, but THREE jaw-dropping vans, each packed to the crust with rustic charm and a whiff of wood-fired magic. What's our secret recipe, you ask? Passion, authenticity, and a dash of wanderlust! From classic Margheritas to mind-blowing flavor fusions, our menu guarantees to spin your taste buds like a perfectly tossed pizza dough!

Fender pizza 

Flour, sea salt, water and wild yeast; the four ingredients that began our journey into creating exceptional wood fired sourdough pizzas.  Fender Pizza are fired directly from our fully restored Landrover Defender and allow us to create a unique experiance to enjoy our hand-crafted pizzas in stunning design. We believe the greatest pizzas are prepared in the elements amongst friends, simply and honestly, allowing our ingredients to shine. Our immersive experience is the perfect option for many different types of events. From weddings, birthday parties, public events, festivals or even your next corporate function, we’d love to hear from you to see how we could best serve you.

Fire & Dough

Fire & Dough cook up utterly delicious wood-fired pizza from the back of their beautifully restored, totally awesome vintage horsebox. Simple? Check. Effective? Absolutely.

The pizzas all start with the dough - head chef Alfie uses a simple lean dough recipe with a 48 hour fermentation time, before they top their pizzas with the best, responsibly sourced ingredients that they can find.

Their Fior di Latte mozzarella is shipped in from Campania, the flour comes from Naples, the San Marzano tomatoes come from the foothills of Mt Vesuvius and, lastly, the Parmigiano Reggiano is aged for a minimum of 24 months before it's added to all of the pizzas. All the other ingredients are sourced locally and they vary according to the seasons.

The Pizza Pie Guy 

Being a gazebo set up, then the only space required is a 3m x 3m area, making The Pizza Pie Guy great for small family events in a garden, or larger wedding/corporate events where space is no issue.

Our dough is made from scratch, and fermented for 24-36 hours, before being weighed and balled up in preparedness for your event.

The dough is hand stretched at your event, for each pizza, topped with the freshest ingredients, and once cooked within our pizza ovens, is ready within 2 minutes.

The temperature of our ovens ensures a delightfully puffy yet crunchy crust, with an incredible taste. You really won’t be disappointed.

Weddings - We have catered several weddings, mainly as an alternative to the evening buffet, where pizza always goes down as a treat with the late-night revellers. We have also catered weddings held in one's own garden, where a more informal approach has been adopted. Whatever or however you envisage your special day, we would go out of our way to ensure your day is as memorable as can possibly be.

Birthdays - Whether it’s a milestone birthday or a kid's birthday party, we would be delighted to help make that event, that little bit more special.

Based in the North East of England, Ross and John set out on their pizza adventure with a clear objective to bring authentic Neapolitan pizza to the region in new and exciting ways. They had seen the light during times spent travelling and sampling various types of food, and the common link was clear, always use quality ingredients and showcase a passion for the method. They quickly went to work at creating the best mobile pizza kitchens with a mission to pop up around the valley for people to sample their version of pizza napoletana. Fire & Dough was born in 2018, accountable only to themselves, as their own bosses, they were now free to do things their way, with no cutting corners, and the world at their feet

What started as slinging pizzas around the doors, and to friends in the region, quickly turned into weekly residencies in towns and villages across the North East. This has become the heartbeat of the business, with the regular faces, and customers they now consider friends. It’s something the business is always striving to be a part of as they continue to try and find new ways to support the community they grew up in.
