Your local Mr Whippy just got a whole lot sexier! Big Kid 'Wild & Wonderful' Ice Cream is a contemporary small batch ice cream brand serving everyone's favourite childhood treat. Whether you revel in the classics, or are looking for something new, Big Kid reignites your neighbourhood's ice cream van with renewed attention to flavour, quality and fun. Novel flavours, unique specials and cocktail slushies are all onboard and with no two weeks being the same in our test kitchen, you can always expect to find something new on trial in the van. We've even replaced our chime for an onboard sound system so whatever the occasion, we can always bring the party! With ambitions to deliver the UKs most exciting ice cream for both vegans and non vegans alike, I am committed to using the best quality produce and practice. Small batch production not only allows me to experiment with less conventional ingredients but allows me to invent and update endless recipes and flavours. So if there is any flavour personally love however unconventional it may seem - I'm sure I can make it into an ice cream or at least try! I'm currently based in the Midlands (but happy to travel) and all ice creams start with exceptional produce. I work very closely with a local organic dairy farm, just 5 miles from my front door and always aim to work with the best quality ingredients available to me in an effort to produce the best ice cream and sorbets I can. Big Kid Ice Creams crème de la crème is scooped ice cream. Launching in April 2022 with my first range of wild and wonderful flavours; Hot Pink Vanilla, Wasabi Peanut Butter, Peach Melba, Candy Crush, Champagne Maraschino Cherry Sorbet, Treacle Sponge, Pistachio Praline, McDonalds Fries, Sunny Delight Sorbet, Black Coffee Liquorice and Triple Chocolate. I As we head into Season 2 (SS23) I have a new line up of flavours (see below) I am working on, however there are some firm favourites from last year that will likely make a return, most notably; Pistachio Praline, Baby Guinness, Brown Butter Candied Pecan, Candy Crush, Raw Milk, McDonalds Fries & Champagne Maraschino Cherry Sorbet. I typically always bring McDonalds Fries Ice Cream as one of my novel, standout flavours. It's a great one for guests to try and a real crowd splitter. Personally, I think it's great. A true sweet, savoury triumph! You'll have to decide for yourself. I will try to tick as many boxes as possible to give people the full Big Kid tasting experience, including vegan/dairy free options. Spring -Summer 2023 Flavours: (tbc.) Honey Butter Toast, Candyfloss Sangria, Dirty Chai, White Mocha, Bourbon Bourbon, Rainbow Road, Yuzu Crumble, Charred Banana Caramel, Olive Oil Baklava, Chocolate Orange Negroni, Torched Meringue, Nesquik Neapolitan, Blueberry Kush, Cookies & Cream + many more. 2022 Flavours Pistachio Praline, Champagne Maraschino Cherry, Brown Butter Candied Pecan, Hot Pink Vanilla, Baby Guinness, McDonalds Fries, Treacle Sponge, Candy Crush, Black Coffee Liquorice, Wasabi Peanut Butter, Triple Chocolate, Wheatgrass Matcha, Sunny Delight, Hot Sauce Caramel, Peach Melba, Raw Milk New and novel flavours are always being trailed in the van, as well as special editions and collaborations. Most notably, my collaboration with Dig Brew Co., an award winning craft brewery in Birmingham and our series of beer ice creams, sorbets and beer floats. Alongside scooped ice cream, I have a twin slushies machine recreating classic cocktails and more in slushie form, think Midori Sours and Orange Negroni's. I have also create a range of delicious mocktail slushies which you find any of the nasty syrups/cordials you would typically find in a slush puppy. Whatever the occasion, I'm always on point and suited for all types of shindigs; weddings, hens do's , birthdays, festivals, you name it I'm there!

Pistachio Praline
I had to remove this from my menu because my recipe was practically non profitable but I'm bringing this back by popular demand. Recipe unchanged so get it whilst you can, it won't last forever! Using pure pistachio butter (and not bulked out with cheaper nut pastes!) to make my ultimate pistachio ice cream. Pistachio ice cream rippled with pistachio butter salted caramel and topped with candied pistachios. Everything you ever dreamed of.

All the milk used at Big Kid Ice Cream comes from a local organic dairy farm just a few miles from my home. Chatham's Organic Dairy Farm in Shifnal are a small family run business who produce fantastic milk! This simple and delicious ice cream is great with anything and showcases a product which I am very fortunate to have so close to my home. If your in the area pop in to the farm and pick up some fresh milk - they have a takeaway vending machine and refillable bottles!

Brown Butter Candied Pecan
Tied at the top for Big Kid's best seller last year. Indulgent brown butter ice cream ladened with sweet and salted candied pecans. So good you you'll wonder why they don't put butter in every ice cream!
Pistachio Praline
Pistachio meets salted caramel. Pistachio ice cream rippled with pistachio butter caramel and topped with praline pistachios.
