Peony bar
The Peony bar is Opium’s hidden gem, nestled somewhere within our labyrinthine corridors, behind the red curtain on the second floor. Peony has very different feel to the rest of the venue – it’s the Yang to Opium’s Ying and is often considered the most romantic room in the building. Despite being the smallest of all three bars it’s a great self-contained space for private party up to 30 guests, who will be served by your own bartender and look after for the duration of your stay with us. Exclusive hire of the Peony bar includes full waiting staff/bartenders and access to the sound system.

Apothecary bar
The Apothecary bar is located on the second floor at Opium and can accommodate up to 30-40 guests seated or standing. The room is elongated in shape and the main Apothecary bar adorned with medicinal bottles (you won’t have to learn Cantonese, we promise!), splits the bar between two areas. To the far left we have an area with higher, stool type seating and to the right we have “Tea parlour” section which has lower, more dining type style tables and chairs. The bar is available for private hires and drinks reception. Exclusive hire of the Apothecary bar includes full waiting staff/bartenders.

Academy bar
The Academy bar is located on the top floor at Opium and can accommodate up to 60 guests seated or standing. One half is set as an authentic Chinese family lounge area (The Attic), a chic, parlour style room with quirky booths, comfy armchairs and lower “coffee” type tables. The second half of the Academy bar is set as a comfortable carriage full of higher tables and stools leading to innovative Bartender’s Table which is an open-kitchen style bar where you can watch up-close the cocktails making process. Exclusive hire of the Academy bar includes full waiting staff/bartenders.
