Rendang and Rice

Hello, I'm Jasmin and I run a small independent street food business in Camden, London called 'Rendang + Rice'. My dream has always been to own a food business where I can create a platform for my family's incredible Indonesian recipes. We specialise in high quality, authentic Indonesian food - the rendang curry is my grandma's recipe! We use sustainable beef and poultry from family-run farms in the UK and we also offer a vast range of plant-based options. Rendang is a slow braised dish made with a complex paste of lemongrass, ginger, garlic, kaffir lime leaves, chilli, coconut and plenty of spices. We also developed a delicious plant-based version with pulled mushroom and lentils. We serve our rendang with either coconut rice and homemade sambal (chilli sauce) or in addictive steamed buns called 'bao'. We also offer chicken satay on the menu with an almond based satay sauce. All of our food is served in degradable and eco-friendly packaging. Aside from the street food business I also host supper-club and pop-up events where I am able to showcase even more Indonesian recipes. My whole career has been in hospitality so great service and delicious food is at the heart of what we do.
