About Yum Bug

Yum Bug is a small company, based in North London, that is on a mission to create a more sustainable food system through taking edible insects mainstream. Insects are one of the most sustainable proteins in the world and we believe they can play a big role in our fight against climate change. Yum Bug was started by co-founders Leo and Aaron in Leo's parents' garage cooking up insect recipes. The team has now expanded to 5, working from a small studio in North London and we have begun producing our own insect-based meat alternatives. The main goal of our business is to introduce a new sustainable superfood in a delicious and recognisable form. We ensure that everything we do is as sustainable as possible, from sourcing our insects from Cambridge as to reduce food miles to using biodegradable packaging. We cook a number of different items with our meat alternatives and can be adaptable to any requests. Currently our favourites are American or Asian cuisines. We have a very small, friendly and professional team that can give your event a tailored experience.
