For most of my life I have lived in London playing and teaching the tuba. In 2020, after many years of gentle persuasion, my Geordie wife finally came around to my way of thinking and agreed that the time was right for us to move back to Whitley Bay with our daughter and get a dog. The only remaining hurdle in our new life was what will I do? Well, this is it! Since discovering some fantastic mobile coffee enterprises and many conversations with their owners, I decided this would be the next chapter in my new life in the glorious North East.
I take great pride in the fact that nearly all of my suppliers are small enterprises that I have a direct relationship with. The coffee, roasted in North Shields by Aussie Alex Forsyth at Baristocracy, the chocolate, curated by Jazmin in Byker at Cacao Brew, the milk supplied by Graham and Caroline at the Acorn Dairy and the tea comes from a little further away supplied by Pranav at Nemi Teas.
I serve largely espresso based drinks, although drinking chocolates and teas are also available, all from a converted 1969 Fisher Holivan that really stands out from the crowd and receives endless compliments when I'm out and about.
Being the owner-operator means I am the one that attends your event and no one cares more about my customers than me. If you are looking for that independent coffee house quality then look no further. I've collaborated with everything from corporate events to school sports days and weddings to food and music festivals and everything in between.
