Born in 2016 from the kitchen of founder James Ooi, Little Bao Boy has grown from its humble beginnings into a powerhouse of the UK food scene. Fast Forward to 2020 where JB joined James to help grow Little Bao Boy from just one site to where we are now. Boasting two permanent sites in Leeds as well as one in Manchester. Along with a residency at Shelter Hall Brighton and running all food operations at London's Camden Round House. Little Bao Boy has gone from strength to strength since the turbulence of Covid-19. Our Beef Bao was the most ordered item in Leeds, fending off the likes of Five Guys and Nandos. 2022 saw a collaboration with Sessions which spawned the first "dark kitchens" - delivery only sites - up and down the country. 2025 has seen the launch of our first sit-down location in London, in the newly launched Boxhall City, and also begun running festivals and private events out of our fully fitted mobile kitchen, Black Betty!
