I'm Adrian, and for the past 12 years, I've been on a mission to perfect the art of authentic wood-fired pizza. After more than a decade of refining my sourdough recipe and mastering traditional techniques, I founded Da Romeo in February 2025 to bring what I genuinely believe is the best pizza in the world to events across East Sussex.
What sets us apart? It starts with our dough – every single pizza begins with a minimum 48-hour sourdough proofing process. This isn't just about taste (though that's incredible); it's about consistency, texture, and that authentic flavour you simply can't rush. We're not cutting corners or using pre-made bases. Every pizza is handcrafted with the same care and attention, whether we're serving 50 guests or 20,000.
Our converted horse box houses a traditional wood-fired oven that reaches the perfect temperature to create that signature char and smoky flavour. But here's where we really shine: we combine old-world craftsmanship with lightning-fast service. Our team can produce up to 80 pizzas per hour without ever compromising on quality. That means your guests aren't waiting around – they're enjoying hot, fresh, perfectly cooked pizza exactly when they want it.
We're fully mobile and completely self-contained, backed by £10 million public liability insurance and full food safety certifications. We cater to everyone – from intimate garden parties to massive corporate events, weddings to school fairs. With vegan options available and a menu that includes both classic favourites and seasonal specialties, there's something for every guest.
