My name is Lucy and I run TOASTIE, a small, family-run street food business that has been serving freshly grilled cheese toasties at festivals and outdoor events for over 20 years.
We would love to be considered as a food trader for your event.
At Toastie, we’re passionate about serving simple, delicious food made with quality ingredients. Wherever possible, we source from UK farms, local bakeries, independent delis and trusted British suppliers, using free-range and organic produce where available.
Our menu centres around freshly made grilled cheese toasties, using quality bread and carefully sourced fillings, alongside our hugely popular homemade lemonade and a selection of hot and cold drinks.
Sustainability is important to us. Our teas and coffees are Fairtrade, we use paper bags and cups to help reduce waste, and each festival season we support tree planting, including through the National Trust and Treeapp.
Two very different Toastie buses
We currently have two distinctive Toastie buses, allowing us to offer different setups depending on the style and requirements of an event.
Our original Toastie bus is a recycled minibus clad in reclaimed wood, packed with quirky character and designed to complement festival, countryside and outdoor environments.
Our newest bus, “The Original Toastie Bus,” has a completely different street-food feel, featuring locally created graffiti artwork, neon details, a huge illuminated sign and show-stopping traffic lights.
Both buses are colourful, distinctive and instantly recognisable, creating a strong visual presence as well as a professional and efficient catering operation.
Over 20 years grilling in the fields
Toastie is run by myself, my husband and our manager Millie, who has worked alongside us for over 10 years.
Between us, we have extensive experience in outdoor catering and understand exactly what is required to deliver a fast, professional service during high-volume events while maintaining excellent standards of food quality, hygiene, presentation and customer service.
Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to trade at some of the UK’s best-known festivals and events, including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Download Festival, BBC Radio 2 in the Park, Latitude, Wilderness, Bearded Theory, Reading and Isle of Wight Festival, alongside many other large and independent events.
Despite our experience, Toastie remains very much a small, independent family business. We take enormous pride in our food, our presentation and the friendly service we provide.
We believe Toastie makes a fantastic addition to a wide range of events. We bring together quality ingredients, experienced service, sustainability and two unique, eye-catching catering units — all backed by more than 20 years of experience in the festival and events industry.
