New York Street Food Ltd
Monmouth
We are an established festival and event catering company who have been delighting revellers across the UK with our legendary foot-long pizza slices since 2016.
As veteran festival goers, we know just what’s needed from field based eateries: lots of hot, tasty food - NOW! And ideally some change left over for the bar, thanks. We provide massive portions and delicious flavours at affordable prices.
New York Street Food was started in 2016 by childhood friends and band mates Craig and Luc. As the rock-star lifestyle escaped their grasp and the Nag’s Head gigs ran dry, they focussed their effort on a true passion: food.
Here are the key ingredients for our stalls:
FUN AND FAST SERVICE
Our people are highly skilled, fast paced and great at what they do. They love working in the lively environment that is New York Slice and their over-the-till banter is legendary. We know smiles and laughter, mixed with the theatre of freshly spun pizza & aromas drifting from the kitchen all add to the punters’ experience.
PREMIUM QUALITY
We mix and ball the dough on site to our authentic New York recipe, then let it prove for 48 hours for the best taste. Our pizza bases are then hand stretched and topped with carefully chosen ingredients in our open kitchen. Once stacked with flavour, we bake at 450 degrees to get a delicious crunchy crust and bubbling melted cheese.
INCLUSIVE
The food industry has evolved rapidly in the last ten years and we continue to aim to stay ahead of the curve. Our menus always offer vegetarian and vegan options as standard and we aim to provide a genuine sensory delight that caters to most dietary requirements. We always offer an option for gluten free sides whilst being clear about the caveat that because we make our dough on site, there is flour in our kitchen.
RESPONSIBLE
Everyone at New York Street Food is committed to running a genuinely sustainable operation. We use fully compostable packaging, operate with zero single-use plastic, and stock only canned drinks. We recycle our oil, food waste and materials, and donate suitable surplus food to local food banks wherever possible. We source high-quality ingredients from suppliers who prioritise animal welfare and environmental responsibility. Behind the scenes, we minimise our footprint through lift-sharing for staff, fuel-efficient route planning, and low-power LED lighting across our stalls.
We’re proud of our green practices and continually look for new ways to reduce waste and improve sustainability across the business.
TEAM WELLBEING
We have a wonderful team built on inclusivity and respect and we pride ourselves on a fun, welcoming environment that gives everyone a safe place to work, develop, and grow.
We pay all our staff above the National Living Wage as recommended by the Living Wage Foundation, and we are committed to fair, transparent pay that properly reflects people’s time, effort, and skills.
We value quality in all aspects of work and life, and we actively reflect this in our behaviours, our standards, and the way we treat one another across the board.
OUR STALLS
We have a variety of fun frontages. Last season we debuted our ground breaking back lit signage with sound interactive LEDs, and this winter we are preparing an American School bus to join our offerings.
