The Pizza Co

Here at The Pizza Co, run by Dave and Ashley, we use sourdough for our pizza bases and provide vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Sourdough pizza offers a more flavourful and easily digestible crust compared to traditional yeast-based pizza. The fermentation process breaks down gluten, making it easier on the stomach and tastes AMAZING! We can provide decorations and mood lighting for the horsebox, in addition to this (if your guests are not paying us directly for their own pizzas) we can also supply a table outside the horsebox for the pre-ordered pizzas. They will be placed on wooden pizza boards and topped up when necessary throughout the event as a buffet style. For the boring bit.....but for your peace of mind, we are members of Nationwide Catering Association (NCASS). Our chef Dave has a Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering, and all our staff are Food Hygiene qualified. We have a combined experience of over 20 years within the catering industry and are fully insured. All our electrical equipment is PAT tested and checked annually and we have our own Risk Assessments, Health and Safety Policy and COSHH Assessments. Our Allergen folder is available to all guests if required.

More than a pizza place: we are a not-for-profit, certified social enterprise. We create artisan sourdough pizzas for community events, weddings, corporate events, markets and celebrations of all kinds. Our staff are friendly, fun and put on a great show when stretching, topping and cooking each pizza to order in our mobile wood-fired oven. All our dough is made by hand and slow-fermented using traditional methods for depth of flavour and easy digestion. Our sourdough starter began its life over 100 years ago in Tasmania, and has made an epic journey over the high seas to lend its complex and delicious flavour to every pizza we make. Our menu changes with the seasons, and wherever possible we use local suppliers to source our ingredients. It started with tacos for our neighbours every Wednesday and has since evolved into a catering company with fire at its core. Carlos and Emily both share a passion for delivering the highest service and food. Carlos, originally from Mexico, draws on his childhood memories and love of Mexican flavours and combines this with local, seasonal produce from the South West to produce mouth-watering feasts. What started with the spark of an idea one night has rapidly developed into the catering enterprise that we are today.
