Fuelled by their desire to offer restaurant quality dishes on the go, they set out to create a new and unique BBQ-style food concept and Chop and Chip Co was born. Their mission is to serve up delicious and tender meats with a uniquely blended range of dry seasonings. They started their food journey in Big Bertha, an original 1972 Californian Airstream trailer that was painstakingly brought back to life from a nearly worn-out state. It can be found up and down the country at various outdoor events serving, with pride, from the now gleaming and fully fitted trailer. Since 2013, they have come a long way, expanding their menus to offer all things BBQ in various settings. The original Street Food menu allows you to build up your perfect meal with an exciting array of flavours to choose from and tasty sides to add if you're extra peckish. They can set up Indoors and Outdoors depending on your menu choice, and can also provide bespoke canapes or bar services. We also have offices based on London & Cheltenham now too!

Matt's passion is food, with 20 years experience working across many aspects of the industry the highlights being cooking for the royal family at Chelsea Flower Show. Lisa's passion is service, with 12 years experience running hotel reception and working at events before having children she is the smiling face that makes your event seamless We are SO41 Catering, an event catering company with a difference … SO41 catering was created in May 2019 by husband and wife Matt & Lisa Doe with the mission of bringing banging street food to the New Forest from their little black food truck !! What started with street food has grown to be so much more and we are not planning on sitting still. The journey has just begun, come and join us to see where it takes us !! We use local … local suppliers, local produce, local people and we support our local community. We want to create a community of customers who we can support as they support us. We think differently … and its starts with our name. SO41 is the post code where we grew up, where we have worked, were we met each other, where we live, where we started a family and where our kids are growing up. We believe in keeping it simple, using the best local produce we can get our hands on, treating it with respect, making as much as we can from scratch because that way we can control the process. That way we know that we are being true to ourselves every step of the way and that the flavours are going to shine through to the end product. We’re not perfect but we’re trying … We are working hard to minimise our effect on the environment. We recycle, we only use compostable packaging and cutlery, we are keeping our use of single use plastic to an absolute minimum, we use an energy company that gets all is power from renewable sources and we use the complete ingredient from bones into the stock pot to carrot peelings in the dehydrator to make powder to fermenting excess vegetables. We have fun, we believe in keeping things relaxed, working with a smile on our faces and creating a family feeling as we feel it brings the best out of us and our team. We are an independent family run business with big dreams, a big heart and the determination to achieve. Food is what we do, food is who we are, food is our passion, food is our obsession !!
