As we step into Q2, there are plenty of reasons to celebrate - not only is the weather looking up, we've got some important dates for your diary to put in your company social calendar. A mixture of cultural events, sports tournaments and general celebrations of all things food and drink, there's a little something for every team.

Recent studies have found that 69% of employees say that they would work harder if they felt better appreciated, and internal events are a brilliant way of achieving this. Take a look, pick your favourite celebrations and get some of the UK's best food or drink suppliers in to give your team a boost this quarter.

April

Mid-April - Eid-ul-Fitr - A Muslim celebration to mark the end of Ramadan, Eid is synonymous with delicious food. We’ll connect you with fantastic local caterers who specialise in traditional Eid cuisine. From mouth-watering lamb dishes to sweet, authentic baklava, we’ll make this one a feast to remember.

21st - London Marathon - One event that really captures the capital's spirit, a day of themed snacks and drinks are a must. Think energy-boosting smoothies and healthy snacks from Just In Time Juice Bar and maybe even some marathon-themed cupcakes.

22nd - Passover starts - Passover is known for its unique and symbolic foods and is a time for families to gather and feast on all their favourites. We can arrange for a supplier who can cater for Kosher to bring a selection of delicious foods for your team to gather and enjoy, family-style.

22nd - Earth Day - Think eco-friendly catering for this one - locally-sourced, organic, and vegetarian options, reducing the carbon footprint associated with your Earth Day event. You could combine this with a team activity such as tree planting, a local clean-up campaign or just make some company pledges (large or small!) as to how you're going to contribute to taking better care of our planet

May

13th - World Cocktail Day - Celebrate with a splash of your team's favourite spirits. We can arrange a cocktail-making class led by a skilled mixologist. It’s not only a great team-building activity but also a fun way to learn about the art of cocktail creation. Non-alcoholic options can be included to ensure everyone can participate.

18th - World Whiskey Day - Indulge in the world of whiskey with a professional tasting experience from suppliers like Bearded Man Cocktails. We can bring in a whiskey expert to guide your team through a selection of fine whiskeys, explaining the nuances of each type, including flavour profiles, origins, and distillation processes.

25th - FA Cup Final - Celebrate the final with a 'stadium vibe' lunch and bring the classic match-day foods into your office, including popular football snacks like pies, burgers, and chips, as well as healthier options.

June

7th - National Doughnut Day - This one plans itself - book one of our brilliant doughnut suppliers to give your team a sweet treat. Go one step further and try one of Crosstown's personalised doughnut walls, decorated in your company colours or logo.

14th - Euros 2024 begins - Celebrate the diversity of the Euros with office lunches from participating countries. Get whole team buy-in for the tournament by running a friendly office tournament with a randomly assigned pool of teams.

19th - National Martini Day - Shake things up with a martini mixing class. We can bring in a professional mixologist to teach your team the art of crafting the perfect martini. This can include classic recipes as well as some creative variations. For inclusivity, our suppliers would ensure there are non-alcoholic 'mocktini' options too.

20th - Summer Solstice - Take advantage of the longest day of the year with some team celebrations - either start the day early with a team breakfast or arrange an afternoon of BBQ food to end the day

79% of employees state they look forward to internal company events, so if any of these sound like a good fit for your team, get in touch and we'd love to connect you with a supplier to blow your team away!
