Planning regular events in the workplace is a key strategy to keeping your employees engaged and happy - and good events can have a particularly positive impact during the long winter months following the Christmas break.
While January, February and March might not be traditional months for big blowout celebrations, the start of the year is a great time to start off strong and set the tone for the rest of the year. Meaningful social events, breakfasts or office lunches can all contribute to setting your team up for success. Here are some key dates and ideas you could consider for your Q1 events calendar.
2025 kickoff or 2025 away day
Start the year as you mean to go on with a well-thought through kick off. We highly recommend getting out of office for this one, whether you go all out with a 2 or 3 day event in a country house or host an action-packed day at a neutral venue. From space for your whole team to the AV you need to power your day to the top notch food & drinks to keep everyone fuelled, we’ve got away days covered.

29th January: Lunar New Year
Chinese New Year and Lunar New Year are becoming increasingly popular with companies looking to celebrate the range of cultures in their team. Book a supplier to bring in a Chinese feast, or try cuisines from around Asia: Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore and Indonesia all celebrate too.
9th February: National Pizza Day
National Pizza Day might be our favourite holiday of all. What better excuse to bring a pizza supplier into the office and treat your team to a pizza feast?! If you’ve got outdoor space, many of our pizza suppliers have impressive setups that look as good as they taste (pizza from a Land Rover, anyone?), but even if you’re limited to inside-only, many suppliers have indoor setups too.

17th February: Random Act of Kindness Day
We’re all about employers taking the opportunity to treat their teams for Random Act of Kindness Day. Surprising your teams with coffee, breakfast or lunch would go down a treat - and it falls on a Monday, so it’ll be doubly appreciated.
4th March: Pancake Day
Bring Pancake Day celebrations to the office with a pancake cart and let people go wild with toppings. We love Crepe Stop’s mini van, which can roll right into your office.
8th March: International Women’s Day
Supporting independent businesses founded and owned by women is one of the best ways you can meaningfully celebrate International Women’s Day on the 8th March. Here are just a handful you could book:
Dinner Ladies for a higher end, thoughtful feast, dinner or lunch
Nimtoh for Korean fried chicken, dumplings and noodles
Fabulously Fed for grazing boards and light bites
Waffle & Co for an indulgent treat - both savoury and sweet
As you can see, you'll be spoilt for choice in Q1 when it comes to key event dates to celebrate at work. If you want to lock in some meaningful events this year and really set your employees up for happiness at work, chat to us about making it happen.
