John The Greek's interest in Greek Cuisine came from his grandparent's Taverna in Paralio Astros, a tiny village located in the Peloponnese on the quiet shores of the Argolic Gulf. The team has spent the last ten years travelling around the country from our base in Hampshire serving our delicious Souvlaki at private and corporate events, weddings and festivals out of our rustic converted horsebox whilst playing the Greek music you have all come to love. John The Greek’s signature dish "The Gourmet Greek Souvlaki" infuses a Grilled Chicken Fillet with Greek Mountain Tea, Sage & Honey. It comes served in a fluffy handmade Greek Pita Bread on a bed of Carrots, Onions, Tomatoes with a dollop of delicious homemade Tzatziki. Garnished with Parsley and lightly seasoned with a mixture Greek Herbs and Spices, the end result promises an experience your palate will never forget! The Vegetarian options substitute the chicken for Peppers, Rocket, deep-fried Halloumi Cheese, Tzatziki sauce, his Peloponnesian Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a selection of delicious Greek Condiments specially imported for your special occasion. For customers who just can’t help themselves (and against John The Greek’s better judgment), they also offer their Souvlaki with a portion of double-cooked Oregano Fries with a dollop of their homemade Tzatziki and seasoning - it’s a dream combo!
