About Sophie Mitchell Photography
Hi! I'm Soph and have been a professional photographer since 2007. For me, photographing a party/wedding/christening/event is all about creating images which are full of life and soul. When you look back at your images, you should relive it all, laugh and cry, see the day as if for the first time. You images of your life are your story and have the magical ability to transport you back to a place and time. I work hard to photograph every aspect of an event.... the story, the details, the people, the place, the emotion. I work very discreetly, in a photojournalistic way, being sure to never interfere with the dynamic of the day. I’m constantly looking for an interesting perspective, the perfect light, the decisive moment. After photographing 100s of events over the last 14 years, I'm calm, experienced and always wear a huge smile. I photograph everything from christenings to birthday parties, I take a narrative led approach to create images which bring a party/wedding/gathering/reunion back to life...
