I started The Box in 2022 and my plan was to run a mobile bar that served real champagne, alongside other sparkling wines. My vision was to create something that would add value to any event, by providing delicious, quality drinks, attention to detail and great customer service (always with a smile!). The Box has been carefully restored and kitted out by myself and my husband, and we think she looks pretty cool :) I like to think that The Box can adapt to any kind of occasion and we can extend our menu, by prior discussion. We work with local suppliers where possible, and currently stock a Wiltshire English sparkling wine, and non-alcoholic aperitifs which are made in Somerset . To date, we have worked at sporting events, food festivals, markets, weddings, parties, graduations, outdoor cinema and theatre, car shows - to name but a few! We have also worked extensively for a privately owned stately home and gardens in Wiltshire, as well as a 6 week residence at a National Trust property for a Christmas Light Trail. We offer a "house" white and rose champagne, which we have tried and tested, but you may not of heard of it! This means we can provide a real champagne that is great value for money. We also offer a "Premium" or branded option - examples include Taittinger, Laurent Perrier and Pommery.
Cremant is made in the same way as Champagne, but just not from the Champagne area. This makes it a little bit cheaper, but just as delicious. We offer a white and rose option.
Fast becoming very popular, our current English sparkling wine is made in Wiltshire, which is where we live. We have a white and rose option, and we can't make up our mind which one is the best, as they are both delicious.
Whilst we are primarily interested in Champagne and the wines made by the "methode traditionelle", Prosecco remains a firm favourite for some. For this reason it's on our menu, and we offer both a white and rose option.
We added this to our menu as it suits some of our events and has provided a popular addition - especially served ice cold on hot days! We currently stock Moretti - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions.
These are like a cordial, served with sparkling water and ice, and we currently have four different flavours - spiced rhubarb, herb verde (minty), orange (bitter) and grapefruit picante (special edition). These are really lovely drinks in their own right, not trying to imitate any other kind of drink. The spiced rhubarb is our favourite!
We always have some San Pellegrino (usually lemon and orange) on board, along with bottled (still) water.
During the colder months, we add hot chocolate, mulled wine and Champagne cocktails to our menu. These can be added in at any time, if required! We also tend to stock Chandon's Garden Spritz in the summer - this is a bit like a summer cocktail - it can be served straight in a flute, or over ice in a bigger glass.
Cocktails are not our speciality, but we can discuss the possibility of adding 1 or 2 pre-agreed varieties if required. We would usually suggest pre-mixing them and serving them from dispensers as we are not professing to be skilled mixologists!
