Bella Mia Pizza
It all started at a young age where me Jamie Di Crescienzio frequently visited family in Naples where I’d head down to a villa just south of the Amalfi Coast to spend a few weeks being around my Italian family. Food, food and more food is the subject of all conversations, life just revolves around it, typically arguments or “discussions” were had as to the best ways to cook the dishes. Being constantly around incredible food, full of flavour and large family meals it definitely had an effect on me and how I saw food. This is where I had my first wood fired pizza from a small village called Paestum. He went with his cousin to watch the pizza being made in this, to him exciting way. This pizza was something that I’ve never experienced, the unique small, the taste the way it was cooked, it was something that just wasn’t around in England and that memory will never leave me.
I spent a lot of time with my Nan, Filomena, she’d always be cooking beautiful Italian dishes and had a huge influence on me.
So this brings us to the start of Bella Mia Pizza, in 2016 I built my first mobile wood-fired pizza trailer, the original plan was to use it for family parties but when I was asked to attend Bourton-on-the-Water for their Christmas lights switch on, the pizzas flew out and from that day the business was born.
After having an incredible year I built my second trailer, a larger wood-fired oven was installed so we could cater for larger parties.
Bella Mia Pizza have catered for many events including Superdry’s Christmas party, Gloucester Rugby, Wembley to being onset with Made in Chelsea, also catering three times for the Greek Royal Family, private parties, and endless weddings.
The food is the the key, it’s what drives us and that’s made this business what it is today.
Everything is all homemade and has the family traditions and secrets. The main ingredients are imported from Italy.
We are the best in our field, we can cook around 80 an hour all made fresh to order.
