Now Now South African Food Co are a South African street food business that specialise in homemade, authentic and warming South African Curries, Bunny Chow and other favourites. Our food is homemade and comes from old family recipes. All our food is exceptionally delicious, tasty and wholesome. Their unique spice blends are made from scratch using spices imported from South Africa. We are very particular about where they get their ingredients - the meat is from a local award-winning family butcher and everything else is sourced locally. The curries can be served as Bunny Chow - a delicious South African dish where curry is served in hollowed out bread, or with turmeric rice, tomato sambals, fresh coriander and Mrs Balls Chutney. We also serve specials such as Vetkoek which is a savoury doughnut filled with Bobotie or Cape Malay or roti’s filled with chicken curry or vegan dahl. Now Now South African Food Co also offer a South African Braai (BBQ) where we serve sirloin steak with Chakalaka and Boerewors Rolls (traditional South African sausage) and Chicken Sosaties. All our food is served from a vibrant food trailer which looks fabulous at events - we love to fill parties with their delicious aromas! After a combined 35 years in catering between both of us here at Elenness, (Steve & Laura) theres not much we havent seen or served. After working for many caterers in different markets across the country, we were slowly getting frustrated at working for someone else, using someone elses ideas for menus and dishes, and buying as cheap as possible, while selling for maximum profit - just didnt sit well with us. We wanted to make the best food, with the best ingredients, while still selling it a reasonable price, while using our own menus and ideas. We had a custom made airstream fitted out to our own specification, we didnt want to restrict our ideas on cuisines or menus, so we decided we want to do it all. Our trailer is completely modular, so depending on the event or foods cooked, we can customise kit to fit what we need for that specific event. Thats what makes us so unique in this market, we can roll upto your drive with a fully kitted kitchen on wheels and make a fantastic multi course dinner for you at home, or be serving wood fired pizza off of our wood burning pizza oven at a local event, the only limitation we have is your imagination. This company has been spoken about for years, but never getting much traction. With a new addition to the Elenness family, we needed some flexability with our working hours, so we finally made the leap to get stuck into our own company with our own ethos and our own dreams, So Elenness was born!
